“SANT’AMBROGIO” AWARD IN SANTAMARGHERITA®
The Ambrosiano town council consigns the acknowledgement award in honour of Pietro Butturini
The “Ambrogiano” consignment ceremony was held on Saturday the 4th December, the traditional acknowledgement that each year is conferred on the local figure who has given prestige to the town of San Ambrogio di Valpolicella by his life and by his activity.
In the presence of many politicians and authorities, amongst which the Regional Councillor Massimo Giorgetti, the Mayor Nereo Destri consigned the award in memory of Pietro Butturini, founder of the Marmi Santa Margherita company, to the General Director, Aldo Breoni, also his closest collaborator, who wanted to describe his character.
“He was a man that started out with nothing and was also a participating, active citizen who gave his effective contribution to the economic, social and cultural development of the town where he was born and lived. […] A strong personality, a presence that cannot be forgotten and will not be forgotten”.
These are the words expressed by the general director who, in a heartfelt speech, fully restored the image of a person who made his work his life and who loved his company as if it was his own home.
