Yes, because when I get the chance to go back and see\none of my works, it&#8217;s like reuniting with an old friend. Each project involves\nsharing knowledge, embracing intentions and constantly exchanging ideas: there\nis something of me in every project and there is something of them in me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the construction of this bathroom, the budget was limited and there were many architectural constraints. The idea was to put in a large shower without giving up the existing bathtub.&nbsp; It was important to create a balanced and harmonious atmosphere. Waste wood was the ideal solution. Warm colours on the walls and natural materials were key elements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"633\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/31-1024x633.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20356\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/31-1024x633.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/31-300x185.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/31-768x475.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/31-332x205.jpg 332w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/35-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-20358\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/35-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/35-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/35-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.santamargherita.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/35-308x205.jpg 308w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>After\nhaving reduced the screed as much as possible in order to lower the bathtub, we\nhad to create a floor that could be walked on and used as a step.&nbsp; Like a small stage, so as to make the shower\nthe focal point of the bathroom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\nimmediately considered using <strong>SM Quartz &#8211;\nVega by Santamargherita<\/strong> which, thanks to its aesthetic appeal, its\nincredibly pure white and its technical features ensuring stability,\nwaterproofing and resistance to stains, acids and solvents, was the perfect\nchoice. Thanks to the qualities of <strong>SM\nQuartz &#8211; Vega by Santamargherita<\/strong>, we were able to mill the worktop in order\nto install tempered glass to protect it against splashes, creating a new shower\nsystem halfway between a walk-in shower and a flush floor shower, ensuring that\nthe design of the entire project was highly functional with clean lines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\nfound it very satisfying to rediscover the same harmony and feel the same\nwarmth, and to discover that, years later, the materials used are still as they\nwere when they were first installed and that this makes those who regularly use\nthem happy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><em>Davide Loro<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It has been almost six years since this bathroom was built and I still vividly remember this project.
