The term has a very modern ring to it, though it has a very old history. Already the Treccani encyclopaedia reports that up until the 18th century this branch of architecture was reserved to public premises home to institutions, large buildings and the focus was not so much on functional issues or habitability, but rather on aesthetic rules related to the beauty and image of the building per se. Hence, one can easily guess how we have now inherited an artistic and cultural heritage with such an immense value and so beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, the concept of interior design is a very contended and controversial topic, with a history running through cultural movements and artistic currents across the centuries, leaving extraordinary items and unique places all over the world.
